It’s T-shirt time! The process of binding I did on the tank was exactly the same for my T-shirt. I only bound the neckline, so I started off my serging together one of my shoulder seams and binding the neckline edge. I then sewed together the other shoulder seam, sewed in my sleeves, and then serged my side seams and sleeve seams in one continuous seam matching the underarm points.
Raise the top of the sleeve cap by 3.5 cm (1?") and connect smoothly to existing sleeve cap on both sides. Mark ends of this area – it will be gathered later. Draw sleeve seam edges parallel to line from sleeve cap to hem. Add 1 cm (3/8") wide seam allowances to all edges. Use this pattern piece to cut 2 pieces from cotton fabric, as mirror images of one another.
