I mainly went with the new striped fabric because it was thicker and warmer than my original fabric, and I wanted this top to be suitable to wear on chilly days.Since this was a thicker knit I tested the thread tension on my serger for the fabric! My pet peeve is a wonky looking serger stitch on the inside of a garment. I learned a great method of checking my serger tension (and fixing it) in our Serger 101 course.
