I refreshed my fabric design skills and went into our Fabric Design with Illustrator & Photoshop course to design myself a new print for a summery top! So the top pattern is really a two-in-one with a tank and T-shirt layer. I started with sewing the tank over layer.I decided to bind all my edges so I first started off by serging together only one of my shoulder seams together. This allowed me to serge on the binding for the neckline in one big seam. I started at one of my open shoulder edges and ended at the other. I serged my stretch binding along the neckline edge making sure to slightly pull the binding and not the tank to create some elasticity in the neckline so it doesnât roll out.
