I wanted to finish the neckline edge with a seam so I sewed the lining to the center front bodice along the V neckline. I marked the bottom V with a fabric pen to make sure that I sewed right to that point. I trimmed my seam allowance after sewing and pressed all into place.
Sophisticated extras are the special touch on this classic dirndl design. A ruffle of hearts sets the neckline in full focus, a chain is used as the lacing at the bodice, colorful piping gets a prominent accent and a bow draws in the waistline. The skirt is sewn with a shirting fabric for a beautiful and fresh look. The brocade apron pulls the delicate shades of the pastels from the dress. In addition to the tying belt, a button keeps it from slipping.
Pretty lingerie for lots of lovely ladies. Lingerie is my obsession. I think the right set of lingerie can really help to boost a persons self esteem and its great to be a part of that.I think its a great creative outlet, its nice to be able to meet people who share the same passions and to be able to give and receive feedback. I also love to see everyones different takes on certain patterns and how everyone puts their unique touch onto their garments.

This little bamboo tool is perfect for shaping collars, turning facings — anywhere you need a well-defined, sharp edge. It’s pointy enough to get the job done but not so sharp that it will break through a seam — unless forced of course. Parenthetically, David Coffin now recommends turning shirt collar with the aid of a hemostat (essentially, curved forceps). A hemostat can be bought cheaply on Amazon and when you’re not turning collars with it you can remove your appendix.
