Her sewing nookI would like to get around to making myself this coat I saw on That Girl. It’s orange and white and closes with this cute little bow. I dream about that coat nightly. I love bows so much.I joined on June 15, 2010. I was searching for some kind of sewing community when uninspired and came across BurdaStyle in the process. I adore this site. I love that you can share your projects and look at what other people are doing. It’s a very cool process. And it’s really nice to get feedback on all of your hard work. I also love that you can check out techniques and fun projects that the site has to offer. I probably visit the site oh…maybe at least 7087098709487042 times a day? It rivals with how many times I check my Facebook. And that’s quite a lot.

My fantasy sewing project would be to make the costumes for pretty much any film, especially ones Peter Jackson directs.What are your favorite BurdaStyle and burda style magazine patterns?One of my favorite dress patterns is the Dress with gathered rectangle skirt and cap sleeves because it’s such a cute dress but it’s also so versatile. I’ve already made two (and am working on a third!) and each of them looks like a completely unique dress.
Fringe Necklace DIY; Long Sleeve Fringe Dress; Fitted Sheath DressOh fringe… how it is so much fun to wear! It is also quite easy to create or add to a garment. You can purchase fringe trim in various lengths and simple sew (or glue) to an existing little black dress (or any other color of dress you like). Either purchase a bunch of short trim and layer it on, or my personal favorite right now is use long fringe and sew it on the hem of a shorter dress.
