hated them so my mum had to finish up most of the projects on my behalf. I started sewing in my late teens, mainly out of necessity. As a ‘petite’ person (ok, ok, I’m short!), most trousers and skirts are usually too long for me. Sewing also meant that I could alter the clothes I picked up in op-shops myself, without having to rely on mum or pay someone else to do it. I think there’s still a long way for me to go in terms of techniques, experience etc., but I’m pretty proud of learning to insert a fly front zipper!

It’s a great community with an enormous potential that must be improved!!! There are a lot of members, I can’t imagine how many creations and interesting discussions are happening. What I really miss is some sort of notification when I get comments on my creations, but especially on other members creations. I wish I could “subscribe to the creation” and have some sort of panel where I can keep track of the discussions or comments I’m participating in or something like that. I easily lose track of where I made a comment or asked something, and unfortunately it gets lost in thosands of creations and discussions.
This dress may seem like a dress only for the summer time (and it is!). But this dress also can work all year long… I love the pink lace paired with a bright white coat and silver accents for winter wonderland aesthetic. I also love pink with leopard print, and this parka pairs great with the dress for a more daytime look. Don’t forget to wear stockings to keep those legs warm. Who else just loves wearing dresses with stockings in the cooler months? Perhaps with boots?
